Just about halfway on my largest piece to date. I never preplan any design in my stitching. I start with the first illuminated hole that grabs my attention and let the work flow. This flow is so apparent in this piece with the meandering stitching. A piece this big will have blocks attached to the back to hang floating directly onto a wall. I show the back detailing my stitching anchors. The back is what has really held back any dreams of displaying allowing the light to come through. Attach to clear plexi ? then the back shows (also any background as well through the plexi). Free hanging, it spins to reveal the back, then there's the fragility of the pieces . . . maybe prints someday - on vellum ?
As much as I use light in my process, the piece then stands alone.
Meanwhile, my garden is a lovely distraction, clematis, irises, and daisies blooming, foxgloves and peaches growing.
